Ranger’s Northstar BBQ started with a dream, a dream to serve people the highest quality food that could be served. Armed with nothing except a love and deep respect for Texas and Kansas city style bbq, a love of country music, a love of America, a love of barbecuing, and the love for his savior Jesus Christ, Caleb “Ranger” J. Derks has set out on a mission to serve people the best and highest quality bbq that can be found in the north. While BBQ is not as celebrated as it is down south, nor is it as respected as it is down south Caleb saw the lifestyle and culture that went into southern cooking and adopted into his life and as of the year 2026 A.D. he has spent the last seven and a half years honing his craft to create the best bbq for the north, the kind that Texas and Kansas city would be very well pleased with. We do not believe in half measures or short cuts. At Ranger’s Northstar BBQ we have set out to share the most amazing bbq there is in a way that is Christ loving and God honoring. We believe in hospitality, good service, laughter and fellowship. To serve others as Christ served us and the church. Here at Ranger’s Northstar BBQ that is our mission.
